Abstract Submission

Abstract Submission, Notification & Content Each abstract for the Fifteenth Multidisciplinary Conference on Sinkholes and the Engineering and Environmental Impacts of Karst (The Sinkhole Conference) must be submitted by 31 August, 2017. Each abstract must be written in English and should be a brief, concise summary of results. Abstracts will  be limited in length to  3000 characters (not including spaces) and the contents should not have been published previously.  Abstracts should summarize the main facts and conclusions to be presented at the conference. (An abstract does not simply list what will be discussed). At the end of the abstract, please indicate the conference topic that best fits your paper, or indicate “Other”.

At the time of abstract submittal, please be prepared to enter the names, titles, affiliations, and complete mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address of each author and co-author into the Scholar Commons system. Registration on the site is required in order to submit an abstract and manuscript. Please submit your abstract at: http://scholarcommons.usf.edu/sinkhole_2018/

IMPORTANT DATES

Please note that the following deadlines will be enforced:

  • 31 August, 2017: Abstracts due
  • 1 September 2017: Begin submitting draft full papers
  • 2 September 2017: Authors notified of abstract acceptance
  • 01 October 2017: Last day to submit draft full papers
  • 20 November 2017: Send all submitted papaers for review
  • 15 December 2017: Return review comments to authors
  • 05 January 2017: Authors to return their revised papars to the Proceedings Subcommmittee for acceptance and layout in the proceddings
